HOW TO PICK A GREAT BOOK

Have you ever heard the saying “Don’t judge a book by its cover”? Well, we can’t help but look at book covers so that’s definitely one way to pick a great book. Here are more tips to help you narrow down your list.

  1. Ask your friends what books they are reading and what they like about them
  2. Ask your parents and older siblings what their favourite books were growing up.
  3. Get your teachers to recommend books. English teachers tend to love the classics but there is a reason they are called classics. Through the years, their popularity seems to increase unlike other books.
  4. Ask your local Librarian to point you in the right direction.
  5. Go online and search for award winning books, author’s favourite books and recommendations from children’s book reviewers.

Happy reading!

Let’s say our slogan together:

In this life, I will attain the greatness that is my DUE by being

Daring,

Unforgettable and

Exquisite!

Love,

Dr.N.
