Journey to Children’s Books

My journey into children’s books started because I had something to say to children and I wanted to say it in the most fun, exciting and relatable way possible. My 1st ever book “Adaeze The True Princess” was inspired by my encounter with a 9 year old child at the children’s clinic where I used to work. He inspired the main character in my first book. Subsequently, I found that writing for children was a great way to introduce them to themselves through relatable and humorous characters and plot lines.

Children’s books are great for inspiration, entertainment, to enrich their vocabulary and to give them wings to fly to distant lands and experience new cultures. African authors particularly have view points that are unique and nouveau. I want the adventure and thrill of living in Nigeria to become a shared delight for children from every language and ethnicity.
